dynamic AR

This 6- hour course is truly Dynamic Practice with practical considerations for the use of your battle rifle in any environment, with one goal in mind, Give You Every Possible Advantage! We will be getting into the science of makes a great defensive shooter and how they train for the real world. Our primary objectives will be Defensive Readiness and Critical Decision Making under stress. 

This is an active class, so come with an empty cup and be prepared to move! 

We will not be using pistols in this class, but if you want to bring one as part of your loadout that will be allowed. In our Adaptive Defence class, we will be focusing on transition drills and using both systems.

  • Shooting Obstacle Course  

Requirements: 

  • Completed equivalent training to Threat Dynamics’ Advanced AR class. 

  • The Trainee has shot at least 500 rounds in the past 12 months. 

  • The shooter has demonstrated the ability to shoot approximately 45/50 rounds into an 8” group @ 10 yards from the unsupported standing position. If you cannot do this yet then it is advised to schedule a Private Instruction with one of our Firearms Instructors. 

  • Self-Provided AR-style/ carbine rifle. 

  • Ideally, this rifle is one that the trainee has experience with and is a good fit for the individual. 

  • Short barrel rifles should be suppressed to cut down on noise to hear Instructor commands. Rental suppressors are available by request in advance. Call if you have questions about this.  

  • Slings are required. Slings must be able to hold the Rifle at no more than a 12” circle from the trainee's feet. Single point slings are not preferred for this class. 

Loadout: 

  • 400 rounds of ammunition.  

  • Ammo is for sale at the class on-site. Please coordinate this in advance and show up a little early to purchase ammo.  

  • Concealable Holster and Adequate belt (No leg or drop holster please, we’re focusing on Concealed Carry) 

  • 2 Spare Magazine 

  • Sling (see above requirement) 

  • Spare Magazine Holder  

  • Knee pads are advised 

  • Sunscreen 

  • Speedloader 

  • Light lunch and simple sugar snacks 

  • One Gallon of Water  

  • Open Mind (Empty Cup)

Private outdoor range in Newberg OR. The address will be shared once you sign up for the class.

Cost: $250

Please Note:

The range is outdoors and exposed to the weather. We will be training rain or shine. Cover is limited and mostly for gear, so dress appropriately. NO open-toed shoes. Parking is in a field so be advised. Transport is available if you want to park closer to the gate. There are restrooms and handwashing stations on-site, but no running water.
