Youth Firearms Safety Lesson

Youth Firearm Safety Appointment (30 - 60 minutes)

At Threat Dynamics, we are committed to educating the next generation about the importance of firearm safety. Our youth safety appointment is a customized, hands-on session designed to help youths understand the fundamentals of firearm handling and safety, using our cutting-edge THREAT ALLEY single-screen simulator. Participants will use Co2-powered pistols or AR-15s to experience safe handling and firing in a controlled environment. Parents are encouraged to be part of the lesson, ensuring that both youth and family members are aligned on a household firearm safety plan.

What we cover:

- Firearms safety rules: the essential "do's and don'ts" of handling firearms

- Safe handling practices: proper techniques for carrying, storing, and securing firearms

- Understanding firearm mechanics: a brief overview of how the designated firearm works

- Loading and unloading procedures: safely handling ammunition and understanding magazines and chambers

- Situational awareness: recognizing when it's appropriate to handle a firearm and when it's not

- Range safety and etiquette: practicing safe behavior when shooting at a range

- Dry-fire practice: learning fundamentals such as trigger control and sight alignment using Co2-powered pistols or AR-15s

- Involving parents in the household firearms safety plan: ensuring the whole family understands and follows safe practices

- Emergency response procedures: what to do in case of a firearms-related emergency

- Optional live-fire session (depending on age, skill level, and parental consent)

Additional simulator and live-fire private lessons are available by appointment and are encouraged to further develop safe and responsible firearm handling skills.
