ADVANCED HANDGUN
4 Hours Course
This course combines the skills and practices gained in our first two courses (or equivalent training) to round out the trainee as an educated firearm owner, buyer, and marksman. The completion of this Advanced Handgun course paves the way to becoming a well-prepared citizen ready for self-defense training advancement.
Objectives:
· Advanced marksmanship techniques, griping, two-eyes open shooting, repeat fire grouping, handgun handling.
· Build your skills via:
Continued Ed., Sims, VR, Dry Drills, Private Instruction, and Live Fire Training.
Philosophy
- Learn to become a safe and proficient handguner.
o Ongoing practice, dry fire, & drills
- Turn you [the students] into an Instructor – Train you to train yourself.
- Types of Learners (Kinesthetic, Visual, Auditory, & Reading / Writing)
o Learn to memorize, not just to learn. Without constant practice, you will forget most of what you learned.

Advanced Techniques
- Building a Combat Kong Foo grip
- Extend – Prep & Grip!
- Advanced Marksmanship vs. Point / Defensive
- Trigger Press - Sympathetic Squeeze - Inter-limb interaction
- Stance
- Sight Picture – Two eyes open
- Timing – Quick to the target & sure of the shoot!
- Natural Point of Aim
- Building a proper grip
Requirements:
o Completed Threat Dynamics Basic and Intermediate Handguns classes, or equivalent training.
o Self-Provided Handgun.
o Ideally this handgun is one that the trainee has experience with and is a good fit for the individual.
o Subcompact or micro-carry pistols may not be the most ideal handgun for this class to meet the training goals, but this should not be a deterring factor. Call if you have questions about this.
o Shooter has demonstrated the ability to shoot approximately 45/50 rounds into an 8” group @ 7 yards. IF you can not do this yet then it is advised to schedule a Private Instruction with one of our Firearms Instructors.

300 rounds of ammunition.
